Dillon Jaycee

VOLUNTEER

Dillon is a great community to live in and become involved with.  The Dillon Jaycees are sponsors of several projects throughout the year and could always use an extra hand or two

Here are some of the projects the Dillon Jaycees are involved in each year:

Little Shooters- A safety and skill based program that teaches students ages 8-14 how to shoot and properly handle a bb gun.  This program is sanctioned by the NRA and there are opportunities each year for our students to go to State and National competitions.

Little Skiers-  A program that has been going on for well over 30 years, Little Skiers affords an opportunity for students in 1st through 8th grade to learn to ski or snow board.  Lessons, lunch and transportation for five weekends at Maverick Mountain are provided.

Punt Pass and Kick-  A one day competition for both boys and girls testing their abilities in the art of Football.  In the pas5 years, several of our local competitors have made it to Seattle for regionals.

Pitch Hit & Run- A one day competition for both boys and girls testing their abilities in the art of Baseball.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt The weekend before Easter is generally reserved for an early appearance of the Easter bunny at Vigilante Park.  There are plenty of fun filled eggs as well as special treats for kids of all ages.

Dillon Jaycee Wrestling Tournament - A Regional tournament for the 6-8 grade wrestling clubs

University of Montana Western Tailgate - Support of the U of M Western Athletics

Dillon Jaycees Fireworks - City Display of fireworks on July 4

Dillon Jaycees Red, White & Blue Golf Scramble - A fun golf scramble to bring a larger fireworks show to the community.

The Dillon Jaycees are a non-profit, community service organization. 100% of the net proceeds from each event are returned to the local and state-wide community in the form of scholarships, children's events, parks and recreation improvement projects, etc. The members of the Dillon Jaycees volunteer countless hours of hard work year round to bring these events to Dillon and Southwest Montana.
